Sister's (love)

1 Corinthians 13 King James Version (KJV)
13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

"Rejoice in the Lord always; and again, I say, rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,, whatsoever things are of a good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise..........
{think on these things.} "

A Thought...

{photo credit: Abiding Radio}
"The Christian life is not a quest to keep a list of rules,
it's about Jesus,
treasuring Him with all our hearts,
loving Him more than anything else."
~Tim Knaus
                                                                       {fall beauty}
♫ Oh, victory in Jesus! My saviour forever...He sought me and bought me, with His redeeming blood! He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him, He plunged me to victory....beneath the cleansing flood! ♫
This quote sparked the question...
"do I love Jesus more
than anything else?"
Then... I read that chorus and knew
that I did!
Jesus has truly sought and bought me with His blood and now,
all my love is due to HIM! I pray that answer is a positive YES for you as well, my friend!

Blessings on the rest of your September!
{Thank you so much, Mom for all the lovely pictures that you were able to take while on your sabbatical with Dad...they are lovely!}

"Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. But it is good for me to draw near to God:
{I have put my trust
in the Lord God,}
that I may declare all thy works."
~Psalm 73:25-28
God bless you all~

As I learn of the tragic news around the world daily, I reflect of the sermon I heard yesterday...
do we love the Lord
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
And these words, which I command thee this day,
shall be in thine heart:
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
Deuteronomy 6:4-9King James Version (KJV)
